Das was ein guter, alter Freund, den ich lange nicht gesprochen habe, mir gerade gesagt hat, ist definitiv den Titel „Erkenntnis des Monats“ wert:

Der Mensch ist in seiner Perfektion ein einziges Dilemma.

Wie ich vor ein paar Tagen geschrieben habe, verschicke ich mittels Postcrossing Postkarten in alle Welt. Nachdem ich letzte Woche drei Stück weggeschickt habe, weiß ich inzwischen, dass zwei bereits ihre Ziele erreicht haben und inzwischen habe ich auch meine erste erhalten. Damit ich nicht für jede neue Postkarte einen Eintrag hier schreiben muss, werde ich einfach immer eine Seite hier im Blog mit einem Bild von meiner Postkarten-Wand und einer kurzen Übersicht über die Postkarten-Wege aktualisieren.

In der letzten Zeit habe ich desöfteren über die analoge Post gemeckert, weil mir das Kaufen von Briefmarken etc. ein wenig auf den Zeiger ging. Heute habe ich mich aber dafür entschieden, in Zukunft öfter mal analog etwas zu verschicken. Schuld daran ist Bunny, die in ihrem Blog heute etwas über Postcrossing geschrieben hat. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Internetseite, auf der man sich nach der Registrierung Adressen zusenden lassen kann, an die man dann eine Postkarte schickt. Diese ist dann mit einer ID versehen, die der Empfänger auf der Homepage eingibt. Sofort danach wird man dann freigeschaltet und irgendjemand im System bekommt beim Anfordern die eigene Adresse. Das Prinzip ist alt, aber die Idee ist toll. ;o) Meine Wand wird sich freuen, wenn das gut hinhaut. Ich werde hier sicher auch Photos davon posten, wenn das hinhaut und meine Wand zuwuchert. ;o)

Als ich heute durch die Stadt gelaufen bin, ist mir vor dem Cafe „Schöne Aussichten“ eine Tafel aufgefallen, auf der stand:

Da dachte ich mir: Gute Idee eigentlich. Da ich selber nicht wirklich viel mit Fußball und vor allem nicht mit dem Hype anfangen kann, der um 22 Männer (jaja ich weiß…es gibt auch Frauenfußball…) gemacht wird, die sich auf ner Wiese um einen gescheckten Ball streiten. Um diese Abneigung auszudrücken, erkläre ich mein Blog für die nächsten Monate zur:

Today started the summer semester. There was nothing special happening so far so I will only tell you that I signed up to an exercise group on thursday and later this day I recieved an e-mail telling me that it’s at the same time as my biochemistry lecture. I hate that. I’ll try to switch to a group on friday because that also changed during the day: I thought Friday to be free but now there is another biochemistry lecture. Sometimes a timetable system like at school would be much easier. Hmm…

One other thing: I’ll stop blogging every day. It’s quite senseless. Maybe there will be weekly entries in English or something like that. Whenever something has happened that is worth blogging it I’m going to write about it. And that definitely will not be every day. ;o)

This day began late because I chose to sleep a litte longer. ;o) After getting up I made an attempt to disassemble my notebook. It used to shut down suddenly when the CPU usage was high a while, so I decided to clean the cooler. The attempt failed… No chance to open it up… How did they put this bloody thing together at first? Well…I dismantled the keyboard and blew into the cooler exit: Fluffs of dust flew out… In fact now there are no more shutdowns. I monitored the temperature through a quickly written script… no more peaks about 90 degree celsius… the maximum was about 73 degree at full usage. Great! After breakfast I started playing „Neverwinter Nights“ (great game…and delivering an official linux client!) and could not stop for a while. ;o) Anyway I took a break to buy some food and have diner. It’s been a long time since I played a game that long. Crazy feeling. ;D

In the evening we – as usual – went to the cinema watching the sneak preview. Nice one. They showed a German movie called „FC Venus“. I’ll write about it tomorrow… in German. ;D

Yeah..I got it back! The terminal bent the card a little…maybe that’s why it would not give it back. In fact the chip still works and I could update the printing at another terminal. It is really typically…if my parents would not have stood behind me when I tried this there surely wouldn’t have been this problem… But at last I did not have to buy a new ID. ;o)

Well…that’s it. There isn’t much more to tell. In fact not even that is worth blogging…hmm. I wonder if it was such a great idea to blog about my life again. It’s a kind of annoying, isn’t it?

Hm. My idea is not even two days old and I start forgetting to blog. I’ll try to post in time today. ;o) But maybe it’s a nice idea not to write before but after sleeping when my brain is not yet tiring. Well, we will see.

Actually there is not very much to tell. I found out, that the university’s students office is open only in the morning and that I got up way too late. So I’ll have to reschedule my attempt to get my student ID back. By the way…I said I would tell why I don’t have it at all: The last day before the holidays I tried to update the printing on the ID (new semester…) and the terminal that should have done that simply „ate“ it. Great. There was only a small LED blinking „Error“. Because I thought the ZDV (centre of data processing) has to repair it and so late on the last day before holidays nobody will be avaiable to do that, I left it inside. On Tuesday I visited the chief cartaker who told me that he sent the ID he found in the terminal to the student’s office. That’s it. ;o)

There were not any more events to be mentioned except maybe that I decided to have a kind of salad for lunch. You might call the result of this idea „greek salad“. ;o) It was delicious and enough to have another plate for dinner. I’ll have that again during the summer, I think.

Ok. It was late but longer than I planned to write the entries. I’ll not admit failure, yet. ;o)

A new idea came to my mind this evening. Currently there is only a small chance for me to practice speaking or writing English. So I decided to start writing about my day using this language. I use this blog almost solely for entries about movies I saw when visiting the sneak preview. That’s really too less. Well, let’s see how long or how often I can pull me together and spend some time on using my English skills. ;o)

It’s late and I’m not really awake right now. So I’ll keep my first entry short. That fits to the day which was short, too, because I got up late and did almost nothing today except collecting information about different things (like the upcoming readings this semester etc…). Tomorrow (when I write „tomorrow“ I mean after sleep ;D) I’ll try to get my student ID back. That’s the plan. ;o) I’ll explain tomorrow why it’s not in my wallet.

Nachdem ich mich heute mal wieder über die Unfähigkeit des Internet Explorers aufgeregt habe, kam spontan die Idee bei mir auf, dass ich eigentlich mal den (aussichtlosen?) Kampf gegen dieses Missgebilde aufnehmen könnte. Aus diesem Grund finden alle diejenigen, die noch mit dieser Internet-Krankheit surfen, ab sofort auf den meisten meiner Seiten einen Hinweis, dass sie sich einen neuen (ordentlichen) Browser zulegen sollen. Falls jemand einen solchen Hinweis auch für seine Seite haben will, kann derjenige gerne mein JavaScript benutzen, das ich mir dazu an einer zentralen Stelle auf meinen Server gelegt habe. Einbinden kann man das Ganze dann so:

Ob ich damit irgendwas erreiche, weiß ich nicht. Aber es gibt mir wenigstens das Gefühl, dass ich irgendwas tue, um diesen Krampf auf der Welt zu schaffen.
